New: MSc Stem Cells in Development, Disease and Regeneration
All of our Principle Investigators are happy to discuss possible self-funded PhD projects at any time. Please see the Home page for a list of group leaders and their individual contact details.
We also offer a number of fully-funded PhD projects each year. These are usually advertised in autumn/winter to start the following October, although other start dates are sometimes available.
You can also search the UEA website for PhD opportunities.
A research masters degree is a natural stepping stone towards a full PhD. A masters degree is not a prerequisite for a PhD position in the UK, but it can certainly strengthen a PhD application. Alternatively, many lab-based industry jobs require a minimum of one full year of lab experience, and a research masters degree can provide this.
All of our Principle Investigators are happy to discuss possible Master of Science by Research projects. These postgraduate research degrees are normally self-funded by the student. They can take up to 2 years (1 year in the lab + up to 1 year to write-up; no fees after 1st year), although students can often complete their experimental work and submit within 1 year only.
If you are interested in pursuing a Master of Science by Research in the area of Developmental Biology and Stem Cells, you should contact prospective supervisors directly in the first instance. Please see the Home page for a list of group leaders and their individual contact details. Alternatively, you can get in touch via our Contact page.
Once you have identified a supervisor, you can find more information about the application process here.
